Description

Workplaces and communities are more diverse than ever. That diversity brings powerful opportunities for innovation and collaboration, but without intentional engagement, it can also create misunderstanding, tension, and division.

In this interactive workshop, Interfaith America and Accenture will share a practical, field-tested approach to turning religious and ideological differences into sources of strength, not strain. Drawing on work across higher education, civic institutions, nonprofits, and global corporate teams, speakers will introduce a clear framework for building what they call civic pluralism.

Attendees will hear directly from Accenture on how bridgebuilding supports their Inclusion & Diversity strategy, strengthens engagement across religiously diverse teams, and produces measurable outcomes. They’ll also learn how nonprofits are equipping local leaders with tools, training, and evaluation models to launch hyper-local bridgebuilding initiatives that address real-world division.

They will unpack Interfaith America’s three-part Respect, Relate, Cooperate framework, demonstrating how leaders can create cultures where differences are acknowledged, relationships are strengthened, and collaboration moves forward even when agreement isn’t possible.

You’ll leave with:

  • A practical framework for navigating religious and ideological difference at work
  • Real-world examples of corporate and nonprofit leaders operationalizing bridgebuilding
  • Strategies to strengthen trust, collaboration, and shared purpose across lines of difference
  • Confidence to address identity-based tension constructively rather than avoid it
