As Director of Institutional Giving at Fred Rogers Productions, Alan Friedman builds relationships with corporations and foundations committed to early learning, social-emotional learning, STEM education, children’s and families’ well-being, and/or public media. His work supports production of animated series like Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and Alma’s Way, podcasts, complementary resources for parents and teachers, the Writers’ Neighborhood training and mentorship program, and several community engagement efforts. Before joining FRP, Alan was part of Carnegie Mellon University’s corporate and foundation fundraising team, then directed the university’s Institute for Social Innovation. He’s also a keyboard player who recently joined a reggae band.
