Shaun Tai is the Executive Director of BRIDGEGOOD (bridgegood.com), an Oakland-based nonprofit design studio that delivers tuition-free UX training, career coaching, and real-world portfolio opportunities for underrepresented talent. Shaun’s roots in Oakland run deep: his family has operated a small business here since 1969, and since 2009 he has led Inspire Oakland, a citywide design challenge that spotlights youth creativity through public art and billboards. With partners like Adobe, Google.org, and the Golden State Warriors, BRIDGEGOOD has helped launch the careers of 900+ creatives of color, with alumni collectively earning $69M+.
